About Resume Edge...
Pricing Points, Fast Facts, BBB, Complaints

Online since 1998, ResumeEdge.com has developed a network of resume writers -- current count 50+ -- who hail from corporate and government backgrounds including AT&T, General Dynamics, HBO, Johnson & Johnson, Lockheed Martin, Exxon-Mobil, Pfizer, The Federal Reserve, and many more. Between that diverse spread of talent, they're confident they can match the resume needs of practically any client.

That confidence is shared. Resume Edge was the selected resume partner for the Yahoo job search engine HotJobs, technical and engineering career website Dice.com, the Wall Street Journal's CareerJournal.com, and a number of other high-profile career services providers. And the U.S. Air Force.

What I Liked (the Pros)

Their emphasis on hiring Certified Professional Resume Writers. I've looked at their application and selection process; it's pretty tough. From the client's point of view, the company assures that every resume written will meet all industry standards set forth by the Professional Association of Resume Writers (PARW) as well as ResumeEdge.com's own standards of excellence.
Ability to discuss your career goals with your writer. The company gathers the bulk of the necessary information via an online questionnaire -- which is pretty common. But your writer will also give you a phone call to introduce himself or herself, and discuss the project. That's a good thing.
They offer "before and after" samples on their site. I much prefer that one-two combination, as it gives the reader a reference point to better assess the writing talent.
And the talent expressed in those samples? It's quite good. Writing appears expert and polished; writers know what to include, what to leave out. Layouts incorporate good use of bullet points and white space.
Price buys you up to two rounds of revisions within their 7-day review period. That should be sufficient.
Customer support is available 7 days a week.

What I Didn't Like (the Cons)

Nothing negative at this time.

Review Summary and Recommendation

Quality of workmanship is quite good, prices are competitive, and customer service exceeds expectations. Affiliations speak volumes (i.e. The U.S. Air Force), as does their rating with the BBB. Genuinely, Resume Edge is one of the leading online resume writing and editing services with over 100,000 resumes under their belt. I have no trouble recommending...

Complaints:
The number of complaints filed with the BBB "for a business of this size" was below average, and actually helped raise the company's rating.
Minimal complaints posted on Internet forums. In fact, we could only find one from the site RipOffReport.com, dating back to November 2010. And this complaint in particular was followed up and addressed by Edge management, noting that the customer received a full refund.
To its credit, management appears to be aggressive in tackling customer complaints and making the situation right.
